31-Day Blogging Challenge, Day 22: Online Shopping

(Check out the full challenge here.)

Day 22, Thursday.  Online shopping! A list of links to your favourite online stores

I’m interpreting “favourite” here to mean “online stores I ogle incessantly,” not “online stores from which I most often buy stuff,” because the latter is Amazon.com by a country mile.

L.L. Bean: my newest habit is to get the catalog, find what I like, and then order it online, because why waste postage?  Right now I’m ogling the Turbo Transit Backpack – my only quandary is whether I want it in black (to go with everything) or deep aqua (to match my L.L. Bean duffel bags).

(Also, if anyone wants to send me a gift, I wear a small….)

Etsy, for jewelry: I can always find something clever, in my price range, made by a human being with whom I get to interact personally.  I have a very hard time imagining what’s not to love about that.

McCall’s: I do as much fantasizing and planning here as I actually do buying.  My latest acquisition: make ALL the sheath dresses!

Bella Luna Books: Is going out of business, which makes me sad.  On the bright side, due to their going-out-of-business half-off sale, I just scored the first British edition of The Bean Trees for $10.00 and a near-fine first U.S. edition for $50.00.
